Solution
The Safety Alerts system sends SMS messages using a third party SMS Provider, and can be received by any mobile device - as a text.
The user selects the project/contract and all the associated people are listed.
By default the safety alert will be sent to all, although the user can deselect people as required.
A message of up to 160 characters can be created.
This is a Windows based application written in Visual Studio.NET.
The application stores information in a Microsoft SQL Database, which needs to be SQL Server 2005 or above either full version or Express.
Messages can be purchased on a per month basis from the SMS provider.
From a users perspective there is no added concerns as the application will automatically connect to their system and send the message.
