Projects include:
Exchange email system
Objective has helped Essex Fire and Rescue plan and deploy upgrades to their Exchange e-mail system – a key component of their relations with other organisations – including the initial set-up when Essex Fire broke away from Essex County Council and the migration of the data to the new system.
Microsoft Office and Outlook Deployment
Objective has provided support to the technical team and the user population of Essex Fire as it handled the deployment of the latest versions of Microsoft Office and Outlook to all Essex Fire staff, and then provided user support and training.
The first pilot site was extremely successful thus allowing a hassle free roll out to follow. As a result Essex Fire maximised its investments in its licensing purchases and a new document management system.
Workshops and Pilots
Objective provides on-going advice on new and innovative approaches and products through workshops. These have proved a cost effective mechanism for providing pre-sales support and have allowed Essex Fire to consider options for future year’s budgets and strategies ahead of time.
Where ideas and budgets allow, pilot projects are used for the design and proof of the concept phase before implementation. These pilot projects also provide Essex Fire’s technical staff guided, hand-on sessions.
End to End Solution
The support provided to Essex Fire has very much been an end-to-end solution - from design/planning through implementation to training and support.
Training has always been totally tailored to the requirements of Essex Fire to provide best value for money whilst making least call on valuable staff time.
The main aim has been to reduce the learning curve of the users during the transition from old system to new.
Feedback has always be positive and constructive suggestions have been seriously considered with their IT and training departments.
